Don't know about apple, but on linux you can live patch a running kernel with security updates (kpatch/ksplice/...).

Pretty poorly unfortunately. You're better off using OBS on linux to record your gaming sessions. Same as how you're better off using sunshine/moonlight to remote stream instead of their remote play feature.

Unfortunately, more often that I want. My emacs locks up for multiple seconds a few times a week. Yet, been using emacs for 20+ years, so changing to something else is difficult. It's especially noticeable with LSP stuff.

You could use sunshine ( https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine ) + moonlight ( https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-qt ). To be honest, at least for me, it works better than most of the RDP&

There's a new fork of barrier called input leap (not to be confused with the leap motion), https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap with work on getting Wayland support in shape. Not sure how far the support is at
