One of the main advantages is that you can write interfaces which works on code in libraries you don't control , so something written without the interface in mind can 'implement' an interface added later.

"You're just doing X, how can that take Y days?!" Where X is something seemingly simple. What makes it more frustrating is that it is often very difficult to precisely describe why it is that X involves so much unintuitive complexity. Als

I didn't mean to imply that it can just be fixed by the person working on their own, rather that you need to face the depression itself rather than go down the road of trying other, outside, things in an attempt to indirectly fix the feelin

I feel terribly sorry that you feel this way. I don't want to mess with this kind of stuff on something this important but, speaking from my own experience, and I do understand this feeling very well, I'd say that this is evidence that the

Sorry probably wasn't clear - that's what I meant :). If he's holding it up as the paragon of clarity, he ought to reproduce it clearly. It's a nit I know, but it confused me when I wanted to run through it and understand what was going on

I hate to nitpick, but if the explanation is being held up as wonderfully clear, must note that there's a typo:- 'Make one-word lines by transliterating the complement (-c) of the alphabet into newlines (note the quoted newline), and squeez

Whether or not a voxel engine is the right way go, or even whether it does what it claims to do, I think Dell should be commended for actually going out and trying to do the thing - it's an amazing achievement to actually get somewhere with

I can confirm (at least in my experience + the experience of others I know who suffer from serious clinical depression) this is not how (serious) depression works. I sincerely doubt it would make any difference, largely because of how you f

This is dangerous bullshit, frankly. The big problem with it is that in serious depression the source of depression is not your immediate circumstances, rather it's something deeper/more pervasive and by running away you are not actually so

That is a very unethical comment. Not impressed. The last thing somebody who is suffering from burn out and possibly depression needs to hear is that it's their own fault for being lazy. It only leads to making the problem deeper + worse, a

I hate to go off-topic again on such a sensitive subject - but am I the only one that finds a discussion on grammar quite distasteful when we're talking about somebody's death? There's a time and a place for that kind of discussion, and thi
