Interesting, can you provide a link to the source code that supports your claim?

Is it wrong for me to think that having a thousand Cell elements on the page is the true anti-pattern? The user can really only see maybe 10-20 at one time. The cost of re-rendering on 15 rows should be trivial enough not to worry about cre

And why is this bad? At least they get the fair chance to make something of themselves, regardless of their social / economic backgrounds. Too many don't get that chance.

I am definitely biased (being the creator and all), but I like the approach JS Zero[1] is taking. Everything is written in a sound, subset of JavaScript, but you can always use an `assume` tag as an escape hatch, allowing you to write "

It's certainly not about "winning". God said vengeance is His. If heaping coals was vengeance, wouldn't that mean we ourselves apply vengeance, albeit indirectly, by being nice to our enemies? Wouldn't that mean the

After a certain point, it isn't a question of valuing one thing over another, but instead a question of addiction. People who are addicted to cigarettes smoke them because their body feels the need to. Once hooked, it's _very_ dif

That's a good point; I can see and understand people rationalizing like that. It's unfortunate that many will never experience the reality of being a minority in police situations.

True, but people fear terrorism because it's something they can't control. Police are also something people can't control, so comparing police deaths to terrorism deaths is a great comparison.

JS Zero [1] is one approach. I would love to make it happen, but although I'm confident I can make the sublanguage design and developer experience great, I'm only familiar with basic type theory. It would be great to have even one

Mithril is amazing. I've been using it for over a year and only like it more and more. Its fast initial load time is very relevant in today's world of mobile web apps.

This is exactly what I thought too. From what the author described, it seems that they were just using REST incorrectly. When a view wants tags from a playlist, the solution is not to include tags in every other request. You can simply incl

You said it: class syntax and React.createClass. In Mithril, a component is a plain JS object with two properties (controller and view). Functional programming can mean many things, and no side-effects is one of them. However, JavaScript do

I tried it for a small project, but end up using Mithril.js for all my new projects instead. JSX, OOP, and Flux may be fine for some people, but I prefer to use plain, functional JavaScript.

I also had issue with the amount of setup with React, which is part of what drove me to Mithril, which has almost zero boilerplate. Nearly every line of code you write is either relevant application logic or declarative view code.
