Have regulations not solved water potability, domestic child labor, lead in paint, water tables, airline safety, accessibility, and many more problems?

They actually do give a prorated rebate when outages like this happen. At least they did for me.

Can someone explain how the web demo works? When I change the template, my tab freezes for about a second, then the ui says it rendered within 40ms.

"Pure CSS" is a term that implies there is no JavaScript involved. I suggest rewording the readme so it doesn't confuse.

Doing is not strictly better than teaching. You can do a lot without understanding what's really happening. You can't get away with that when you teach.

Capoeira. As someone who doesn't like the gym, the fun mix of capoeira's martial art and self-expression keeps me hooked enough to keep going and stay in shape.

There is not much in life that can be proven correct, and even less so in ancient past, which explains why humans are naturally this way.

npm 6 still has weird caching bugs from previous versions when working with git dependencies. I'll be sticking with yarn until that gets fixed.

I'm not sure what the connection is here. Is it because Facebook sponsored development of Reason? Should we consider not using anything that Facebook touches? What if Facebook pays a developer to work on another popular library like Vu

I'm still not sure I understand. Are you complaining that Reason's distribution is optimized for JavaScript developers?

There's no ignoring going on. Reason exists on its own because it's not opinionated on what sort of app you're trying to build – frontend, backend, native, or some combination thereof. If you're looking to build a web ap

Of all Facebook tech, this is the least "Facebook" of them all. ReasonML is a thin layer on top of OCaml, a language that's been around for decades. If Facebook one day abandons Reason, it would their loss more than anyone el

ReasonML has more potential. Aside from its excellent type system (one of the best), it can also compile to native code. This has several benefits: - Frontend: Your tools are fast. The ReasonML-to-JS compiler is already an order of magnitud

The tooling has really come along since 6 months ago, FWIW. You can now get started by installing a single npm package[0], and editor support is quite good[1]. [0] https://reasonml.github.io/docs/en/quickstart-java

bs.raw is actually really easy to use, but it's not encouraged since it's mostly a stepping stone to "real" bindings. There is definitely a learning curve to JS bindings, but it pays off as you only have to learn them on

To balance out the negativity: I absolutely love sublime text. It runs beautifully on my 7 year old laptop, unlike other newer text editors that don't care as much about performance.

ReasonML is by far my favorite emerging JavaScript tech. Not only is its JS code output small, it's also performant. For immutable updates it generates code faster[1] that Object.assign! :) [1] https://medium.com/@javie

This really shows how Stripe values people and their work community as a whole. I'm happily employed, but if I were looking for a job, stuff like this puts a company on the top of my list to apply for.
