Of course he did. He put his own money and reputation on the line for both businesses. There's a reason he was lauded before this Twitter/X debacle.

Being good creates the luck. I'm not saying it does not happen the other way around but it's fantastically rare to just "luck out" your way in to success. Product/market fit doesn't fall out of the sky either.

So glad you mentioned committing badge swiping fraud. I was going to ask on an original thread, what is to stop people simply swiping other people in on their badge to pretend that they're in the office more than they actually are?

The irony of the sheer number of awards people are giving each other on that post, which if I am not mistaken, is just lining Reddit's pockets.

Not OP and I can’t speak for the entire human population but for me it was changing the relationship I have with myself. Make a mistake? No big deal it’ll be better next time. Learn from it rather than beat myself up for it. Hit that red tr

Until those who are in government are held legally responsible for fulfilling their promises (including after their term if they did not do it during) I take all of these things with a massive pinch of salt.

DINK in professional jobs and 1.5 hours from London and still can’t save money for a deposit? Not being unreasonable towards your friends but are they responsible with money?

I never get tired of hearing people say publicly that they are tired, need a break, and will put themselves first for the foreseeable. I hope that this continues to normalise self care and counter balance the hustle culture.

Good job they stopped you from taking that pesky cannabis /s Seriously though that's awful, sorry to hear that and glad you came out the other side (relatively) unharmed.

But I thought Portugal did the same (decriminalise) and by all accounts they've had fantastic results?

Sadly the beacon of balanced reporting that the BBC once was is now a distant memory. It's politicised, click bait nonsense just like most of the news on the Internet. So your assessment is more than likely accurate.

I tend to agree that there are no shortcuts. However I do think you can be disciplined in one area (e.g. work) and lack discipline in another (e.g. diet and exercise). So discipline is not an on or off switch for a person, it's more gr
