I have a friend who's been fighting through installing it from source because he's sick of waiting (apparently cabal was having trouble... not really sure). Hope macports gets things sorted out soon.

In my opinion comedy only works in situations like these if you're also a bit silly/comic in other situations. Otherwise it's obvious that you're just using it to try to diffuse the confrontation and it doesn't work.

I agree that this should be discussed. One problem though is that it's not a problem in a normal web browser with a mouse, because it's really easy with a script or just a couple mouse clicks. It's just a problem with mobile browsers like t

I'd also recommend University Campuses for this kind of thing. As well as the campus library, many buildings have private study rooms

Mine is working with the same setup, are you sure you don't have any script blocking activated?

Agreed, I don't know what it is either. Also, I'd try shrinking your logo/header so that some actual content shows up in the first screen of content.

If all you're looking for is screen capture: Apple-Shift-3 captures the entire screen. Apple-Shift-4 lets you select an area to capture. Apple-Shift-4 then Space captures a window that you select. I don't personally use GrabUp or Skitch, so

I believe the adium team is hard at work on IRC for either the 1.4 or 1.5 release. Not helpful right now, but just a heads up.

The design looks really nice. I already use drop box with friends to accomplish pretty much the same thing, and it wasn't immediately apparent what the added value would be to using Divvyshot. Also, the first time I went to the upload page

I'd like to put a plug in for doing gravestone rubbings. If you've never tried it, grab a box of crayons and some paper and maybe a date and head over to your nearest cemetery. I've only done it once or twice but I've found some really cool

Did anyone else think this was going to be about playing games in class? I certainly played all the classic calculator games in high school. Interesting ideas though. I've been meaning to pick up a Clayton Christensen book.

I think this is a good example of deliberate design of the right details. Another interesting take could be to add an optional "If|Unless..." clause to the Attending and Not Attending buttons, for people to clarify their intentions.
