I suppose the "OK, Boomer" will now become "OK, Millennial". Of course this was going to happen, it's what always happens, generation after generation. It's called 'The Cycle of Life'. We've been

Once you have manufacturers start implementing TC, that will really hamper reverse engineering efforts. Imagine the possibilities of capturing the non-Microsoft market be allowing the TC to be turned off, or by not including it. When it c

At this point in history, killing off Taiwanese chip companies would be a bigger disaster for the West than for China. China has lots of chipmakers (and producing even more in the future), the West not so much. TSMC makes something like 60%

That's Western civilisation. Those other civilisations have been around a lot longer. They've been there, done that. Some even have the T-shirt.

Unless it flashed past me, I didn't see any mention of the ubiquitous int a=5; style of initialisation. I tend to initialise all ints as a zero default with "int xxx = 0;". I know that all globals, etc are initialis

The strange thing is that my subjective age has always been about 20. Two shock realisations: One: when I looked in the mirror one day and my reaction was "Who is that old bastard?" Two: when my mind suddenly came up with the thou

Ripening fruit/veges give off ethylene oxide which causes further ripening. If you trap that ethylene oxide by putting the fruit or veges in a closed plastic bag, they will ripen even faster. Here in the tropics fruit ripens very quick
