In relative terms, co2 emissions have gone up >50% since Kyoto; in absolute terms, we have emitted more co2 since Kyoto than in all of history before. I'd argue your "in a few years" was like 2018 or 2019 or so.

Yeah, but what is 'infrastructure as code'? For anyone not already in the know, this phrase doesn't mean "managing and provisioning data centers through machine-readable definition files, rather than physical hardware co

I live in the center of a big city, but my windows are pointed away from the road. At the moment I am hearing someone one building over three floors down practicing piano, and the startup devs opposite chatting over a cigarette on the fire

I am really not an expert in the micro-world, but from the times I have worked with microscopy, i know a lot of materials (and surely such a heterogenous material as "grime") have more holes than swiss cheese. So, yes, of course,

"Grime" is only a thing in our medium-scale world. In the micro-world, there is no grime. Most (tiny tiny) things people consider to be grime are far too big to even come into consideration here.

I am wondering the same. The spikes on the dragonfly wings are on the outside, this is (at least in his article) promoted as being used for implants. One of the main qualities of implant materials is low bio-reactivity. I don't know if

The problem is that "write it for you" implies something beyond copy-pasting, and people are complaining that this is one of the most copy-paste-y example possible. I think if proponents would use different language, there would b

I sometimes wonder why computer-literate people still use Google Search. Basically for all search queries I can imagine, DuckDuckGo or Yandex consistently give much better results.
