The older entries for Baltics are wrong tho - new/old values are the same for both occupation of 1940 and restoration of independence in 1991. And same for Thailand / Siam, same in both entries.

But then the problem is changing configs means building a new release, and needs code push access. Pretty much every config variable has env override in my apps - allows project owner to poke about in web UI without bothering me for changes

Could it be that it's a US-specific thing? My last three phones have been EU-sold Samsung S series, and the only things I'd consider "third party bloat" were pre-installed versions of Facebook and MS Office, both easily

For me, the constant visual changes of new parts being streamed in are annoying, and straining on the eyes. Ideally, web frontends would honor `prefers-reduced-motion` and buffer the response when set.

One possibility - if you do regen braking as in one pedal driving, there is a lot less coasting to stop, and I imagine that is less stressful on the tires.

There might be some stretches of imagination there, but the base is solid - cuneiform writing was definitely formed by the medium (pressing a cut reed into clay).

I have a car with voice controls. That don't work if the overall UI is set to Latvian. And struggles with my accent when set to English. The climate control knobs have no problems with my language skills tho.

EU citizen - I love it. Couple clicks to tell a website not to profile me is nothing. You already are rejecting mailing lists and offers everywhere, what's one more thing. I don't get spam mailing lists or robocalls. I can safely

There's something I never see mentioned in this discussion: you can be flexible with what libraries/frameworks you pick, but you can also be flexible with what you build with those. If doing things exactly the way you envision inv

I'm using keepass, and the sync does not seem to be hassle - my file lives in dropbox, and it's always been synced before I open the app on another device. Bonus - backing up the database is as easy as copy-pasting a file.

Same boat. I'm also curious how does device sync happen with bitwarden - from a cursory glance it seems to rely on their cloud. Can you manually manage the database file, like with keepass?

My philosophy with HA is not to touch it too much. I update only when there is some feature I absolutely need to have. And even when there is a new feature, give it a month or two to mature before using. I run a specific docker tag with aut
