As a power user, ThinkPad T (maybe P also) series is better for me (and it's not that close). I run Linux on it.

I wonder if they plan to provide "services" to web sites that need age verification... via their app and Facebook account.. As someone that doesn't have a Meta account (and will not), this could become potentially problematic

This is where the lack of installing software (sideloading) becomes problematic.

Yeah, the thrashing thing I'm very familiar on OOM scenario... the far most common Linux "crash" that I experience (at least monthly, sometimes daily, depending on what I'm doing)... I've waited overnight a few time

It's like googling... if you have skillz/experience you can google almost anything with 3-4 words...

If you are spinning so long that it requires preemption, you're doing something wrong, no?

For simple stuff, qml is OK/better (except the JS part)... but for some more complicated views I'd want qwidgets.

Yes, that why those need to be 100% sandboxed by default (ideally a VM), unless they are provided by distro

Same here.. Overpass Mono was chosen for me, but several were quite close. Also, black backgrounds require bolder fonts.

You underestimate youself as a 13 year old... if you had to, you'd do it (given time).

Or maybe there aren't good EVs... however, ICEs are becoming worse, so the crossover might be happening eventually.

Yeah, I don't want OTA or "software"... Just make it simple and make it work. For everything complicated that needs"fixing" there's a phone.

IMO, that is the only acceptable situation where semicolons can be removed from the language... if you need to add indentation rules, you've failed.

looks cool.. Alternatively, I've several times used 'pass' as block terminator for my personal code.

To cause a huge annoyance, it could just randomly apply brakes for some time, which is probably much simpler than bypassing the pedal->brake.

Depending on what you are doing, the above is not necessarily bad.. often much better than an SQL that locks an entire table (potentially blocking the whole DB, if this is one of the key tables).

For me, OOM effectively crashes my system 90% of the time, usually caused by firefox (chromium too), if a website goes out of control (rarely it's caused by too many pages open, as tab discarding takes care of that).

Abstraction isn't free... even if you had the correct abstraction and the tools to remove the parts you don't need for deployment, there is still the cost of understanding and compiling. There is also the cost reason, somebody try
