I tend to agree, but also realize most phones run on razor thin if not negative margins. Stocks are all about looking long term, and as an investor I'd have concerns about the rise of RISCV or other 'free' ISAs on that horiz

This is strange in that it -feels- illegal. Could you imagine if grocery stores did that? What if you just want to inspect it closer or look the back or something?

Same. I even prefer the Tabasco to the original. Tastes every so slightly more 'peppery', every so slightly less sweet.

Why not a burner prepaid dumbphone? Battery lasts forever, cheap, and while there is still some modicum of tracking, it's nothing like the firehoses that are smartphones..

Gotcha. Just looked up Marion's and you're right, that's exactly the pizza I was talking about. For anyone curious, here is a quick link pic of Marion's - https://i0.wp.com/gotheretrythat.com/wp-co

The pizza shown as 'Chicago Tavern' style looks and is described exactly like what we had my in Midwestern city as a kid, and was called <my city> style locally. Later, I found out they also call it Cincinnati style, I gues

Looks great! Without judgment I must ask, what made you decide to target metaverse specifically? Is it more of a fun challenge, or do you see it having a bright/popular future?

Are you going to consider carrying cash going forward? Maybe it's where I live more than anything, but it seems bizarre to read this thread that so many people carry no cash at all anymore. I advised my wife to always have $40 on her.

There's a lot of these comparisons, and I wouldn't want to reply to all of them, but will on this one. What's missing on most of these are the social aspect. With Google, you can't just drop into a 'miamidolphins&#

Yahoo had a lot of the same features, but never did it as cleanly as AOL. Perhaps because AOL provided an actual native client whereas I believe Yahoo was always just web based, which marred the experience quite a bit. I guess the ultimate

A smartphone would be near the opposite of that. Having to figure out what app others are using and install, and keep switching between them. With AOL if you wanted to contact someone, it was just IM(AIM), for example.

If I'm honest, I kinda miss the AOL all in one approach. Email, news, stocks, chats, IMs, web search, all just there front and center. Easy to use, no trickery, no figuring out what sites or apps to use, as everyone else(generally) w

I used to spend hours with all the fancy stones and ceramics and such. Anymore I just sharpen everything on my belt sander. Takes only a few seconds, and gets you about 80-90% as sharp as the fancier methods.

Gonna disagree here. At some point, people have to do the same due diligence the insurance companies have done. Anyone building a sea level house in the keys shouldn't be surprised that insurance won't cover them. And no compan

I think rent is the big wildcard. People who bought prior to 2021 or so are far better off than people who've been chosing to rent. My mortgage in 2015 was $1050 a month. I sold it in 2019, and today it rents for $2500, but likely co

Not really directly. You can buy old school, bootleg alcohol looking distiller systems for not much money. All it needs is a heat source, whether from a car battery or a small fire.
