It would be nice to be able to zoom in and out to see more or less at a time. In general, this concept lands itself well for Google maps API where you model your board as a map and it handles scrolling and zooming for you. Edit: something

I was thinking more of a team of entrepreneurial native Japanese who simply decided to do it in US in search of better start-up culture.

If the Japanese market for start up companies is open, but the culture is a problem, there could be an opportunity to run a start up from Silicon Valley but targeted at Japanese market. Especially if it is an internet service start up with

I would imagine that this patent could be easily invalidated using prior art argument, the only down side is all the wasted effort and legal fees to fight the battle.

If the person came up with the solution on his own, wouldn't he patent it in full including the missing piece that the author checked in only later? Without that piece, the solution does not work.

There is one thing that I can't wrap my mind around in the whole demise of the recording industry. I would expect labels' execs to be smart and clear minded people, just by virtue of obtaining their positions and taking their companies to i

Of course, this would require repeal of the wage-and-hour laws that today proscribe any such thing. I can only imagine the fight that unions would put up to any change of this kind, justified or not.

In older cities it's amazing how much great architecture goes unnoticed. New York city has buildings from turn of the century with most intricate decorations and reliefs and only recently I started noticing it (in a "they don't make 'em lik

I guess it would be hard to make that change on a completed document where ink has already dried. I believe they used to have special rollers that would sock up fresh ink if one wanted to make a change.

That's a good point. In Poly, vast majority of CS undergrads that were looking for jobs did it through Monster and in-school job fairs. I don't remember seeing any startups or small companies being represented at these, they were filled wit

Interestingly, Facebook are the ones who have the technology and critical mass to make micro-payments available. But I bet they wouldn't let you pay for stuff you like in private without announcing it to the world.
