Are the listed quotes an example of what the user should expect to see if they sign up for the mailing list, or are they today's quotes? If it is a "quote a day" service I would expect to see just one quote.

It's too bad that you had to resort to scraping. It's a shame that Craigslist hasn't built their own API for those who pay for a license. Are you doing the scraping server side or client side (inside the app)?

Firefox started blocking Java plugins in January '13. I wonder how long before other browsers follow suit.
