I used piper with a model I found online. It's _ALOT_ better than festival afaik. I'm not sure you can apt install it though. echo "hello" | piper --model ~/.local/share/piper/en_US-lessac-medium.onnx

it hit me too and I ended up having to put the qbj3 directory in my steam directory. Apparently with ironwail 0.8 it looks there. I think I like this approach more though so i'll try it

I think you uncovered the actual reason without saying it. - in traditional package manages, the dependency is global, and potentially breaks everything else installed. - in nixos, package is isolated to the environment and can co-exist on

bummer > The code relies on old internal Infocom toolchains (ZILCH compiler, WATFOR, > mainframe environment) that are not open and likely not preserved.

These statements really ring home when i'm thinking about my 20s and coding. Back then, i'd dive right in, start coding, prove what works, figure it out as I go, then have to adapt the existing code to the figured out design. I wa

I prefer WezTerm over ghosttty and kitty. I prefer it's UI and level of customization. Ghostty animations run like crap for me on linux (not sure why).

I started thinking about how to build this at one point but never got around to it. i've thought about doing this with QR code stickers, but the NFC approach might be nicer.

I prefer curly braces. My editor has all sorts of comments to jump between opening and closing curly braces. This is not possible with whitespace.

every god damn time AI hallucinates a solution that is not real (in ChatGPT) I havn't put a huge effort into learning to write prompts but in short, it seems easier to write the code myself than determine prompts. If you don't kno
