Lightly off-topic, but: >Five for the Future asks that if you benefit from WordPress, you give back 5% of your time directly to that open-source project As someone that semifrequently has to support WP installs, I would definitely make a

Absolutely correct, and my examples given are unsubstantiated and anecdotal at best; I'm not in the medical physics field. Honestly, I'd take both. If standard light imaging is 99% efficient then it adds additional triage and diag

A reasonable take, but one that I don't think lessens my point. I can't speak to the other responses from which you've identified this yes-but-x template, and can speak really only from the 2 bits of knowledge I have: IT/

SO is a dentist. They laughed and said 90% detection leaves a lot to be desired, and there's rarely a good reason to not have an X-ray.* In addition, there's some things a human dentist does that I doubt this does - early detectio

Interesting, I use Bottlerocket on my work clusters too. I think we had issues like this using some ridiculous data tool images that take up gigabytes, so we just upped the EBS size. Easily done.

Sounds a lot like the host OS is generic instead of container-focused, which could be part of the problem. What was the cause/solution? Images too big?

"Talos: Secure, immutable, and minimal Linux OS for running Kubernetes" I guess we'll never know... But in truth it's for running on hosts.

That story actually came about from a scientist doing experiments on frogs. Frogs with removed brains. Arguably the frogs are not smarter than we thought See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiling_frog under the Exper

Not a doctor; previously worked in a lab that matched solid tissue (organs) from donors to recipients. The article has very emotive language, and not in my opinion the mindset of any doctor that has long left in their profession. I can'

Yeah, that is always an option. However once boiling hot, if you introduce something into the flask it's more likely to create an explosion front. A bit like when someone supercools a bottle of water and then taps it to make it freeze

Apologies, I was writing this while balancing my son on one arm and mixed up some simplification with good old-fashioned mistakes! I'll nip this in the bud and say "DNA particles" was definitely the wrong word. You are correc

This is great. I'm in DevOps and when hiring, the tech interview is a round we've been off and on over time. Doing code reviews instead makes a lot more sense.
