Thanks. I worked really hard on those. It was a long, 2500 word block of text before I put them in.

I'm pretty surprised by it as well. The 1 week free trial is awesome too - worst case, you have a team of assistants to do free work for you and you leave after 7 days. Although at their prices, that's really only a $15 free trial so it's

I love IStockPhoto and stockexchange. That's how I get all the photos for my blog. I like the flickr CC license too, but the byline for credit is irritating. I wish flickr would offer an option to either purchase or provide credit.

Interesting. No wonder their ads also talk about shopping victoriously - the more the item seems for, the better off the sellers are so they'll sell more AND ebay gets a higher amount of fees. They also use their emails to put a sense of f

You bring up an interesting point about individuals versus businesses. I think one of the key differences here is that I don't want to work lots of overtime in order to make up the monetary difference to pay for food being delivered to my

I think part of it is not just wage inequality, it's efficiency: I estimate she is actually making $30-40 an hour by batching it, and because she is likely faster than I am (since I am relatively poor at cooking). On my end, it's costing

I agree, I am not saying that it was a bad move. I'm saying that it's unfortunate timing for them that a lot of the people who dipped their toes in specifically because they didn't have to commit to Disqus may very well jump ship now. Basic

I was thinking about making a business out of it, but then I was worried about potentials for freaks and lawsuits. It's ok if it's just me vetting people for me personally (and I know I'M not a freak as a customer, so that's half the batt

I am using Disqus right now on my blog, it'll be interesting to see what WP does with this. The bad news for Disqus is the just added a feature to their plugin so that comments are now stored both locally as well as on disqus.com - meani

I think you are both right - it is a few bucks a meal for food, but when you factor in the labor costs into the total of what I actually end up paying, it is in the range of 5-10 a meal based on the week - some weeks I get shrimp, some week

colinplamondon, thank you for submitting my site to HN. I was debating it but didn't want my first submission to be mistaken as self promotional blog spam. I'm glad you and others have enjoyed it =)

I recommend finding someone on craig's list to cook for you, so you don't have to worry about it. Time is at such a premium when you are trying to launch your own business, and if they're shopping for a family, they are probably better at

I don't know if I would call 4HWW the opposite of Paul Graham. Consider YC itself - they give you money, access to VCs, etc - your job is to make something that is cool. This isn't outsourcing everything, but it is very much a capitalist di
