This site is awesome. I (well, a virtual assistant =P) went through the same pain collecting all the data. Instead of "cells" can you put also expected battery life? I would also be interested in weight and size I also own an Aspire One -

Nice analysis. A friend mentioned to me that the macbooks have gotten bigger over the years and there was on that was 12 inches (?) that they no longer make. I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a new small notebook with a heavy price

Thanks for posting this - it's an excellent reminder. Funny enough, I actually have a long rant I wrote that I was about to publish on my blog this morning. It's completely finished, and sitting in my drafts. I read it over this morning and

I remembered this discussion from before, perhaps this will help you: WordPress or TypePad or....? 'd like to start a blog and I am wondering which platform HN suggests. Thanks for voting/discussing! http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=280

This is actually a really great discussion on community support for software development versus "corporate" support, using a really interesting metaphor of a japanese shrine. I enjoyed the video and am voting it up, but I think you should c

Alas the account is suspended. Basically, they had this experiment where they showed the subjects 400 12x12 (I think) pixel images of letters and measured various things in their brain. They used (most likely) neural nets and machine learni

I think the real meat of the article is this: ======================== Figure out the absolute least you need to do to implement the idea, do just that, and then polish the hell out of the experience. Configuration is kept to a minimum but

This is a fascinating site, I only wish the headline was sexier to draw people in to what it's all about. Daily routines of famous and intelligent people!

It's an interesting idea, but the article doesn't really give any details except that he wakes up earlier, feels like he has more energy (very subjective, as they don't back this up with any facts) and his urine is brighter yellow. I wish

This may be the most relevant hacker news I have seen all day. If it's not true, I expect a strong response back. And if it is true, I hope there is a good explanation or things change quickly.
