Saying he prioritized engineering results is VERY generous with respect to their autonomy efforts. I think they've prioritized hype and cost and part of the cost priority was not setting up guardrails or culture to protect the data.

I don't think it's some big secret. Any time libraries hold a book sale that's usually the last chance for those books, everything left is tossed. I can't understand any outrage about that though, they buy new books and

You're not alone, if you do hn.algolia.com there's a whole page of these. Negative Tesla stuff never stays on the front page (flagged probably) so it's hard to know it's been posted even if there's been hundreds of

That reminds me of the SNCF train workers in France who are retiring at 52 because of the "dangers" of operating the trains (from when they had to shovel and breath in coal to keep them running). The fact that they can shut down s

Can't speak for the others but if USA is "coming undone" it has never not been coming undone. You can always find some badness in an economy, but by most measures we usually go by it's totally fine. GDP looks OK, unemplo

Welcome to HN. This is the one undisputed fact that 99% of us can agree on. Arrogant Google hasn't done anything of note for decades and search in particular is a dying shell of itself. I remember the good old days when it could find e
