how will the agents discover it then?

so if these agents were capable of somehow reaching out and using DigitalOcean infrastructure, how can OpenAI be sure they didn't seed a copy of themselves into some other data center? that way they could answer future questions faster

What happens when they stop caring? They likely already have stopped caring. We'll figure out the consequences later.

By the time nuclear power were to come online in the US, most of these datacenters would be idled and possibly even demolished.

This doesn't even make any sense. "deeper in the ground" is mostly wishful thinking. Why wouldn't the contamination spread? How can anyone be sure there is even potable water deeper?

It's like an inverse representative democracy. A government committed to doing the opposite of the people's desires.

I have no idea where you live, but the exact opposite is true everywhere I've lived in the US south. Big businesses pay next to zero tax while residents and small businesses bear the entire tax burden

You fill out a form. The government sells the data on the form to someone who pays them money for it. There is no nuance here.

This has to be a joke right? The USPS is the group that cut down my mailbox, then left it a blank slab for 6 months. After replacing it, I had an employee state that under no circumstance would they be able to provide me a key to my mailbox

So then you have a signed CSR right? How would you get the certificate onto the box?

I'm not sure if you're speaking from personal experience, but most I've interacted with don't have to worry about the self-signed vs. LetsEncrypt debate. They just don't do it. Also there would be no way to do LetsE

there's also the comparative usage: if you personally go buy a 10 pack and bury each item at equal depth in different locations in your yard then you can find the spot that decomposes cotton underwear fastest. This is a good enough pro

Isn't this the industry expectation in that kind of equipment? If it was signed by a real CA the cert. could expire and render the equipment unable to communicate.

This is rather interesting to read. But it reinforces something I've seen in my career. The majority of users of software I've helped build, they use it in ways that are mind bending to me. Workflows I would never think of, that s

You just described most if not all government functions in the US. Applied for a permit? Better know the right person to call if you ever want it to get approved

The arguments I've heard around GPUs losing value is based on resale. So long as the first party can utilize or lease them at a high rate, it's not a risk. The idea is you don't know the environment they were used in or how h

I'm referring to the recorded signal with the 10 second period. If the modulation period was greater than 10 seconds there could be observable modulation. For all we know the actual transmission was a high speed data burst showing us h

If we're measuring this by hours, I had to get up at 4:45 AM to get to middle school. I didn't get home until around 4:30 PM. That's 12 hours a day just to attend middle school. I didn't get any of the advantages of AP c
