As one of the commenters points out, you could get a beautiful Macbook Air at that price. If it really is priced at $1199, its not just overpriced, its priced not to sell.

Facebook had an outage some time back (I think this one - http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=431441338919 ), and when everything got back to normal, the hash-banged URLs were gone. Was it related?

Well, you should use whatever rocks your boat. Personally, I think its a little weird that Twitter Web consumes a lot of CPU as compared to the Desktop app. As for GMail, I find switching between labels (on the web interface) very slow, if

The author mainly focuses on mobile devices. I would like to add that even on desktop, native apps feel way better than their web based counterparts. Switching from Google Reader to NetNewsWire, from GMail to Sparrow, Twitter web to Twitter

This is change of the bad kind. The interface looks horrible, to say the least. I had hopes that they'll stop burning the CPU fans in Skype 5, but apparently it has gotten worse. It baffles me everytime I see the CPU usage spiking up like c

Something similar for Macs in general (not just iPhone/iPad) might be useful. You can even try recommending apps to users and allow people to share their app list with each other (and not just people they know personally).

Funny. The author wrote a long article on how to avoid procrastination, when the intended audience isn't going to go beyond the first paragraph. How to beat procrastination? Set noprocrast to yes .

For designers, okay. But what's wrong with a simple LaTeX CV? Its clean, gets the point across, and frankly, it stands out from the other badly-formatted Word documents.

I really wish Spaces would integrate with Cmd-Tab. Everytime I use Spaces, the only thing that bugs me is Cmd-Tab. If I'm on space 1, and I press Cmd-Tab, it shows all the open applications, which really doesn't make any sense (at least t

Try the MiniBufExplorer plugin. It gives you a list of all open files in a different buffer, and you can switch to any of them by just moving into that buffer and pressing enter while on the filename.

Curious as to why more people have selected "Yes", instead of "Not yet, but I would pay for a worthy app". Is this because Android Apps tend to be good in general, or something else? (I don't own an Android.)

Reminds me of, Facebook is more like undergrad. Something needs to be done, and people do it. Most of the time they don't read the literature on the subject, or consult experts about the "right way" to do it, they just sit down, write the

Multiple mentions of "public shaming". Doesn't seem so good. A good engineer is anyway going to have a sense of shame inside when he/she screws up. I really don't think there's any need for "public shaming".
