The whole thing is a complicated, wacky game. The DeFi stuff is especially fun right now. Opportunities (and danger) abound. There is so much money locked up in DeFi. It's not necessarily always good for the bots either. They can be ex

I'm not able to drive because of epilepsy and have to rely on ride share apps when family members can't drive me. It's expensive but public transportation doesn't exist here. Around 1/100 people are epileptic and th

I'm from the east coast and my wife is from LA. She is anxious on the small, windy east coast roads where I grew up, where there are lots of blind corners and narrow lanes. I'm the opposite, I'm overwhelmed by the 8 lane LA f

4chan is unmoderated, reddit is heavily moderated. how on earth are they 2 sides of the same coin? nowadays, it seems like anything unmoderated starts going right. it used to be the opposite. mildly OT - the only thing they have in common

IDA's license was too expensive for someone who wants to tinker, which is probably most people who want to use it. I almost feel bad for hex-rays now though, it's gotta be tough to compete with an excellent, free, state-sponsored

I agree. As an employee, you assume some of the same downside as the business owner, and little of the upside. If the business fails, you are out of a job. If the business does well, you might get a small raise.

Yeah. I asked their recruiters to leave me alone. I haven't interviewed there, nor will I. Realistically I won't pass the interview, so it's no use wasting my time trying. I actually was sponsored by them for GSoC (google sum

It's like they don't know where the car is, only which it is, and put the vin in some stolen car database. Bitcoin seems so terrible privacy wise. It's so much more traceable than cash. I don't know why people don't

Bizarre. I had a similar experience. I was told "I didn't seem comfortable in language X". I'd been writing it for ~10 years, and have written a handful of native extensions, with lots of open source examples. It was str

Just tried it from 5ghz wifi on a 200mbit connection. It looks like it added me to the correct region (southwest) and set me to 720p@60fps. Tried playing Mordhau, a "hardcore" first person melee game where milliseconds count, and

I'll take this as an opportunity to plug some other RE tools: IDA is considered the holy grail. A base version is free, but its most popular feature, the disassembler, is $$$. Does debugging and static analysis. NSA's Ghidra is gr

Every brewery I've been to offers lagers. They can be hit or miss though since it's harder to mask off notes in them. The session ipas (low abv / preferably low ibu) are usually more dependable at small breweries. I personall

My girlfriend (now wife) went with me... she was the one that pushed me to do it, otherwise I probably wouldn't have done it myself. It took a lot of convincing. She was WFH so it didn't disrupt either of our work lives really. Th
