Glad to hear it! :) Feel free to ping me with any questions you may run into (like what are best packages to use, or anything else) and I'll happily help out!

I remember writing a blog post [1] (for another publication) about my project and the day it was published, I realized there was not a single link to my project (it had screenshots and all). I immediately made a PR to fix it, but it was a f

Thanks. You can see it at https://github.com/shurcooL/Conception-go#screenshot , but it's less than 10% finished at this point. Everything you see is rendered in OpenGL. The text editing component has syntax and di

This is really cool, and it's the direction my project (with a large scope) will eventually go in. I already have a text editing component and highlighting working using OpenGL, but it needs updating to not use immediate mode so it can

I've disabled Flash since the beginning of this year, an idea inspired by someone else [1]. So far it's been working out great and I was pleasantly surprised I've had very little need to turn it back on. Some notable issues I

Does anyone know if there are any Go libraries for collision detection yet? I'd like to use some.

It's an open issue, please see https://github.com/shurcooL/Conception-go/issues/3 for more context. It was helpful to me to keep everything in a huge file during initial development for a few reasons: -

I agree, that would be useful, if not the most useful thing I could do, so that my findings aren't in vain. Sadly, I don't do any blogging, but I'll see if I can do something about that.

Author here. I was just about to go sleep when I noticed a retweet and a lot of new stars on Conception; this explains it. The linked C++ project was the result of an initial year of working on it, which culminated in a winning entry to LIV

I think this is awesome! As John Carmack said [1], you can hop in and enjoy in seconds. What is even cooler, IMO, is that you don't necessarily have to write JavaScript and target WebGL only to get your game to work in the browser. You

For me, and I think many others, the main advantage is a simple, sane UI. It just works, no surprises.

I'm extremely satisfied with the battery life of my iOS device. Even after a day of above average use, it will have more than 50% remaining.

You can do one command, `go get -u github.com/nwidger/nintengo` and it will be installed. No Makefiles, no header files when developing, the code is nice and clean. Those are some off the top of my head.

I've noticed a pattern. If you're unhappy with the "default out of box experience" of an OS/distribution and you need to apply an increasing amount of tweaks/hacks to get it to be the way you like, you will be

What about uncached? Imagine the user opens a file and immediately issues a command "go to line 12345". Or is go to line not implemented at this time?

That was a very interesting read. I might want to implement some of those things in my text editing component. I have one question. How would they implement "go to line number" functionality? How fast would it be?

If you haven't tried it yet, go to any package and press R on your keyboard. That's really the coolest thing about it IMO.
