Note that IFL = cores that only run Linux and cannot run mainframe OSes. The Telum CPU is 5Ghz and has some level of builtin inferencing accordong to their specs. However the emphasis is going to be on single system image... you won't

NetBSD runs well on older hardware, even old laptops. It is clean and no-nonsense; you don't have lots of daemon processes running that you haven't put there yourself. FreeBSD is what I run more, to be sure, but for old SPARC mac

It would be a huge mistake for FreeBSD to adopt Rust in base at this stage, and would likely fracture whatever cohesion exists amongst the current team; it would be "emacs vs. vi" all over again, except worse; it would be that tho

Would have liked to know what the difference was in response between Cogent and Level3. Did only Cogent respond at all, or was Cogent the one handling all their IPv4 space?

My question: is it bootable into Linux without the use of any binary blobs? That is, can it be booted essentially equivalent to a librebooted system?

Yes, given that Intel's ability to have smaller process sizes helped greatly to paper over any design flaws. The first SPARC V7 CPU had 110k transistors on 1300nm process to the 386DX's 275k on 1000nm and less process.
