I have used a bunch of carving axes - nothing matches the gransfors.

I recently acquired a gransfors bruks axe for a sculpture I was working on - and I have discovered a newfound love for scandinavian woodworking tools. My arsenal is almost entirely Japanese but I might convert over the next few years.

I took the california zephyr after 2 harsh years (professionally); from Chicago to SF. So many inner demons were vanquished on that trip. That train route is truly a love-letter to America - the Colorado river, the Sierra Nevada, beautiful

Also hacker dojo mentioned that they are willing to accomodate the needs of techshop refugees (they're basically the only serious space now all the way from SF SJ). They have a small space now and if people pitch in a lot more can happ

What an inspiring story! I love that innate sense of purpose, where a top practitioner is getting their hands dirty, working real hard, putting their training to good use but also has a grand positive vision for the future of society. A lif

About Alex Honnold, there's just one thing that comes to mind - Unbridled Ambition. That same spirit that Caesar's men harnessed to build a bridge across the Rhine in 10 days, that led NASA to get to the moon in a decade, that led

A simple way to get suggestions is to take your finite state machine (that consumes tokens) to a special error state and just analyze what got you there. You'll pick up quite a lot of errors.

There was similar work by W. Zaremba (OpenAI I think). LSTM trained to interpret python source code. Took a ton of hackery to get it to not fall apart on simple operations and it continued making indexing errors. I wouldn't read too mu
