And don't forget to study end games too. I don't think you need a strong grasp of opening theory until you reach around 2000 (lichess).

I don't think the article, despite the title, is suggesting we look for an alternative to capitalism and make everything slower or less convenient. It's just observing a consequence without passing judgement and then saying that n

https://youtube.com/@shric_ I made a couple of double pendulum videos in 2021 and then walked away. For the first year they got less than 100 views then one suddenly picked up and was getting 10,000 views per day for a few

I'm not sure what the hype is about. It's another chess bot that's not as good as the best. There are so many of these already. Is it because it has a cute name and avatar?

You don't need to particularly safeguard the credentials to get to your encrypted blob, they can be in a gmail email you sent to your friends and/or family. They can't read the content but they can give you a copy. How do you

Indeed. If you want it to fail then ask it to list famous people in 1976. Nothing special about 1976 in particular, but that was the first one I tried. It lists 10 people who weren't born in 1976. If you ask when a particular individua

This is fantastic information and very sobering for those of us with smaller channels. I had 10-50 views per month until two weeks ago and I got 200k views suddenly thanks to the algorithm, but it's already peaked so I expect I can&#x2

I released a double pendulum video in August 2021 and after a year it got about 100 views. It was almost my only video. About 2 weeks ago the YouTube algorithm somehow decided to pick it up and it has of the order of 100,000 views. So 2023

I know you're comparing "out of the box", but I don't think that's fair as developers spend ages customising everything anyway (dotfiles, etc.) and there are plenty of things macOS can do "out of the box"

I asked it to list famous people born in 1976, it listed 10 famous people (mostly actors) and zero of them were born in 1976. When I asked it if it was sure, it gave dates of birth for each celebrity, all in 1976, all incorrect. I then aske

Almost nothing in a shell is discoverable. Are these discoverable? ls, cat, $?, $@, <, >, >>, $(cmd), ${foo}, $((2+2)) If you can take the time to learn these (if not, why are you using a terminal?), then you can learn some shor

AH = 0? I only recall AH = 4C? That would exit the program with AL being the exit value. I'm not aware of AH = 0? Sadly, I used to write these kinds of programs with a hex editor, so "B4 4C CD 21" is etched into my brain even
