Why do you even need to care about this as a user? And mind you this is a front end tool. They did a big change of stuff that people depend on, without consulting the community, and then doubled down, threatened people that wanted to fork,

in my experience, the threads in Teams suck so much that everyone just moves chat to private groups that are still un-threaded. in my company, we moved from slack to teams, and EVERYTHING just moved to giant private chats.

Nah they had very little of that actually available. They were not operating like a big crypto exchange.

look at their volumes. It’s tiny. https://coin.dance/volume/localbitcoins I don’t know if it’s because people are not using bitcoin anymore or if there’s something else now, I haven’t really used bitcoin in ages.

It was fun, but looking at their trading volumes, they became irrelevant. https://coin.dance/volume/localbitcoins I tried to log into my old account, it seemed they locked it 2 years ago in some new KYC/AML logic,

This is very very good. I use Google Photos on my iPhone just that I can do searches like this on my library. (And that I can auto-share photos with my family, half of them are on Androids.) This is on some queries much better than that. Wh

This article is kind of content free :( I remember Ars Technica being actually technical? The only actual information here is "Samsung Android is 60GB" and "Samsung doesn't use A/B paritioning". Which is nice,

This is absolutely not true. As I wrote to a different reply. For about 5 years it is possible to call localhost from https page without any warning. Localhost is a secure context, exactly that you don't need to do this. I cannot find

Yeah IE7 doesn’t support SSL-less localhost. I think that will be the main reason.

the browsers are currently just accepting http on localhost and it’s the best solution. The eavesdropping issue is nonsense. The only reason is “we want to support IE7”, I guess. Which I didn’t consider but might be an actual usecase in Sou

what is missing here - localhost is a trusted origin for at least 5 years. You can call localhost without https from all major browsers now without any cross-origin warnings. so this is all doubly stupid.

I don’t think given all the shit Facebook is getting now, and Twitter in shambles, Google is crying that hard about missing social networks. And they still own YouTube, don’t forget.
