I used MobileOrg for a while but never had much luck with the sync process. My current system is to schedule a batch task to run org export to HTML on all org files and sync the HTML with dropbox. It works great for viewing.

It's a good insight that other systems may complement GTD for driving deep creative focus. Todd Henry covers this very well, both conceptually and tactically, in his book The Accidental Creative. He offers a flexible set of practices t

For Stallman's case, surely there is an emacs command to copy the the whole frame, mode line and all, to text for pasting into a mail buffer. But seriously, it does make me wonder how much of the vast system he retains and uses. Using

It's not apples to apples, but it sounds like both quality improvement and code size reduction were gained by leveraging the Swift type system instead of relying on runtime type checks in NSArray-based code. Would that kind of thing be

Adding a late comment to appreciate the MVVM synopsis in your blog post. The pain of tracking lots of callbacks and cascading updates is a lot of what Pete Hunt was talking about in Be Predictable, Not Correct [0], but there's not a lo

I didn't meant to imply there's any potential legal issue bearing on the schedule beyond what the editing is taking for literary reasons. The comment (from someone ostensibly not in the know) suggested that out-of-copyright was a

Peers have mentioned updates to the ASV, and the Bibliotheca project is also updating the ASV. Interestingly, the rationale for editing the ASV given in the Kickstarter campaign [0] does not mention copyright as a factor, instead it focuses

How about NodeJS bindings to a native desktop library of choice and a React.js backend to said library slipped in? They're decoupling the React API from the DOM, right?

As long as we're just talking about skins and not true native desktop behavior, I'd like to see someone port such nice styles to FLTK [0] boxes. FLTK moves you back to C++ bindings relative to an Electron-based solution, but you&#

I am struggling with the GUI designer factor. Most of my career has been spent working on WinForms and WPF GUIs and a stack of different things under them. Visual designers are fantastic for tweaking layout, but lately the question I'm

I'm surprised how little scons is mentioned in all the chatter around the announcements of Bazel, Buck, and Pants. We use it with swtoolkit and it's really slick how multiple environments can be built up. The only problem is it&#x
