Good design is hard. It takes research and effort, and often has to go through many iterations. I say it's due to laziness because if the developers had the time, they would adjust the text and scrollbars for a better experience.

My native phone app for Android already does these things. Block unwanted numbers, gives me the business name if it knows, search for numbers. I don't know why I would have a need to replace it.
