I got an LG G3 recently and the battery life is excellent. It'll happily last two days.

There's always that feeling in the back of your head... "Why haven't I got a reply yet? Are they busy? ... Or maybe I've misconfigured something... Maybe it got marked as spam... Maybe my SMTP server is fucked..." I

Cheaper for me since I have a bunch of domains and aliases. I'm also happier with the location. Runbox is in Norway and FastMail is in the USA. I'm based in the UK.

I moved to runbox a few months ago and I'm pretty happy. I'll echo your "don't even bother running your own mail server". Been there. Done that. No thanks. Horrible.

I left gmail and ran my own mail server too. It's harder and more stressful than you think. After a year I decided I'd had enough and moved to runbox[1]. It's not that expensive and the peace of mind know I don't have to

It's a shame you're getting downvoted for what was clearly a joke. Have an upvote, you made me laugh. :)

Can you elaborate on this? Can you give some examples?

I don't understand what makes this "Sherlock Holmes" debugging. Don't we all do this kind of stuff every day? Cool story though.

Really? With unite you can use vimproc to fork out the searching process. Much quicker. Using unite and ctrlp with a 30k file source base, ctrlp was far to slow for me.

That's weird. Unite doesn't exhibit this behaviour for me. My config is here: https://github.com/wridgers/vimto/blob/master/rc/25-unite.vi...

Why do you advocate using vim in a terminal? I prefer unite[1] to ctrl-p[2], it's much more flexible. 1: https://github.com/Shougo/unite.vim 2: https://github.com/kien/ctrlp.vim

Not really. I moved over about a month ago (which was really easy). A friend of mine recommended them and he's been happy for around six months now.

What about a backup SMTP server? I ran my own mail server for a year and found it incredibly stressful. Switched to runbox.com and I couldn't be much happier atm.

Some examples would be nice. What are these small projects? Selling apps? Ad based revenue? SaaS?
