Doesn't really matter. As always it's integration that makes a product. Talking to bots on Telegram isn't new. Running agentic loops isn't new. Giving AI credentials and having it interface with APIs isn't new. Trig

I really enjoyed this article as well! I'm still curious, however: > That's not a marketing angle—it's a headline that writes itself. Any ChatGPT assistance there?

I don't read their comment as implying this. It might in fact hint at the opposite; it's far more likely for the less senior author to get thrown under the bus, regardless of who was lazy.

Also ironic: When the same professionals advocating "don't look at the code anymore" and "it's just the next level of abstraction" respond with outrage to a journalist giving them an unchecked article. Read thr

This is relatively common. The mouse interaction code doesn't necessarily look at the visual asset, and in many UI toolkits the ability to have interaction targets located and sized differently from visual features is a feature.

FWIW, the FreeCAD 1.1 nightlies are much easier and more intuitive to use due to the addition of many on-canvas gizmos.

It's the same how HN mostly reacts with "don't censor AI!" when chat bots dare to add parental controls after they talk teenagers into suicide. The community is often very selfish and opportunist. I learned that the role

Qt Quick 3D in Qt is I guess a similar value prop. They have a fun demo of a 3D shooter in it.

I see, you did an AI demo of captioning and search over captures specifically for complex geometric objects. I guess my interest was more piqued by the "CAD" part.

Interesting. My go-to for CAD files is usually https://grabcad.com/library I searched this for "WAGO" and "XT90", so I guess not the same use case. Some hits for "Raspberry Pi", though.

Hi, I make a Wayland-based desktop environment and ship a few million cars a year using Wayland. Feel free to get in touch if you want to talk to someone (for free advice) about this porting problem you're having.
