Not without precedent: The Voodoo 5 6000 by 3dfx came with its own external PSU almost 25 years ago. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQqLXew...

Thanks! The main difficulty & goal with this one was reducing the power consumption to the absolute minimum, which meant putting some effort into component choices and I also ended up writing the display controller driver myself. But if

I ended up replacing the battery with a larger one than the one pictured in the end, a 3100 (ed: hang on, was it maybe 3500 even?) mAh Samsung 18650 cell. I also switched the voltage reg to a more efficient chip. I now get about 9-10 months

I think seeing more public spaces shift away from emissive displays and putting more emphasis on quality lighting again would definitely be interesting. What mainly limits the applications for this tech is that full-color refresh is very sl

Here's the one I built for my home: https://imgur.com/a/NoTr8XX This is still a black and white panel, but it's not that different with the color ones. Feel free to reach out if you have questions.

I stopped liking Musk when his first wife's tell-all "I Was a Starter Wife" came out in Marie Claire in 2010. Yes, penned by a disgruntled former spouse, it felt nonetheless authentic and immediately believable, and all the e

Strongly second these recommendations. I enormously enjoyed them for both their information density, but also their extremely clear and proficient writing style. Absolute class journalism.

You're confusing things. The mission you are referring to was flown using the Boeing Starliner capsule, launched atop a Atlas V N22 rocket. Not the SLS or Orion.

I think by individualism what people usually mean is the general "me, I got mine" attitude & the idealization of not giving a care to what other people think, i.e. "do your thing". I lot of what happens in the East A
