Side note, but I noticed now practically all Thinkpads are available with Linux as an option. That's a big improvement from when Windows tax was practically unavoidable with them.

What about Rust for GPU programming? I wonder why AMD doesn't back such kind of effort as an alternative.

I don't see how. This kind of AI has no mind and can't feel anything, so it has no component that's needed for expressing feelings in art. That's his main point. That was true then, it's true today.

In general it's some weird relic of medieval view on dentists not being medical professionals but someone akin to barbers. It shouldn't exits but it persists.

By the way, Wine is more stable than Windows itself in supporting older Windows ABIs. Someone should develop an analog for Linux itself. I.e. support for older / historic ABIs that would be translated into whatever modern Linux has. So

With nvim-dap-ui you can evaluate an expression by selecting it, and it would try to evaluate anything custom you do in the editor that wasn't in the original code. Try something like this: :lua require('dapui').eval()

If I recall correctly, Rust decisively wanted to avoid multiple inheritance concept, in order not to deal with the diamond problem. Composition over inheritance is the suggested principle.

Right, plus it needs a better backing to make a nice UI. Plasma mobile is more of a POC, not really a polished user experience by far. One good thing Google could do is demand upstream open drivers from hardware makers.

Too bad. There should be a proper open Linux + Wayland for mobile, not Android Frankenstein anyway.

Must be some wrong circles. From what I've seen, it's mostly well known that ntsync is comparable to existing solutions like esync / fsync.

Lol, xbill. xev is a cool tool for analyzing input events. A modern alternative is something like KWin Debug Console > Input Events.

If suggested usage means upscaling, it's a dubious trade off. That's why I'm not using it in Cyberpunk 2077, at least with RDNA 3 on Linux, since I don't want to use upscaling. Not sure how much RDNA 4 and on will improv
