I suppose it is a completely predictable outcome: internet has been telling young men for years "stop looking for a gf, just get out there, find a hobby, meet up new people". Besides, "finding a partner" is a much more c

I disagree. I got a home test positive last week and plenty of my friends did as well. I am in the UK though, our home tests might be different.

Of course. We are just going through a strange period of mental health. It used to be: "only very very serious problems are worth attention and in this case only professional can help you". This is why it was (and to an extent sti

I don't think it is the right mindset. Mental health is a spectrum as much as "being fit" is a spectrum. Just because you aren't morbidly obese doesn't mean you won't benefit from learning how to take care of y

Oligopoly. There are very few popular food delivery services. If you are petty over 4 bucks, you end up cooking at home. It is like saying that people outraged by FB will change anything. What are you going to do? Move to TikTok?

It is a very slippery slope. Would you feel the same if it was a genomic sequence of a novel respiratory virus? Would you say it is a plan for a bioweapon and hence must be forbidden?

There aren't many with zero-order pharmacokinetics (linear curve decay). The only notable exception is alcohol though.

Delta emerged in late spring 2021 though. You must be thinking about Alpha. However, it became dominant in the US only in late March 2021 according to Wikipedia[0] [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SARS-CoV-2_Alpha_vari

Twitter literally limits the length of your tweets. What can you say in a couple of phrases in the context of activism and politics? Just link another platform? Don't get me started on twitter threads, this is abomination. My patience

I see it differently: despite alcohol having absolutely horrible safety profile the vast majority of people manage to use it responsibly and don't let it ruin their lives. We all know that some people become alcoholics and yet it stops

Why do you compare it to Rust though? JS is as old as Java, however its ecosystem seems to be much less mature (at least from outside). I haven't touched Java for 15 years, but I am fairly confident that people still use Apache Ant as

From what I've seen online in the last 5 years, just a mere accusation is sometimes enough to ruin someone's life or career. At the same time Trump and Johnson both showed that you can literally lie about something you said on liv

Yeah, I find it very very sad. I am so isolated after 15 months of lockdowns that I literally go to a restaurant for a tiny bit of social interaction, just smalltalk with a waiter. Just about 4 out of 5 times they insist on ordering online.
