We don’t know that. If/when Apple allows side loading it might be available globally (eventually anyway) to avoid any public backlash and practical concerns .

To be fair not really… other states have been involved in bigger and overall more terrible wars since then. Not USSR/Russia Chechnya was much shorter and on a smaller scale. Russia has already lost several times more several times more

One could. There are ups and downs but the overall trend continues to be up. All of those things you’ve mentioned have not gotten worse and generally keep improving (except income inequality and climate change of course..)

For iCloud I don’t see how that makes sense. Everything is stored on the user’s account which they pay for. They can use similar a similar pricing for push notifications which is offered by other providers. Would be perfectly fair.

If you have to sign a legal contract entitling Apple to a commission in order to ‘publish’ an app which can be side loaded then yes. If it works the same way as it does on Android then they can’t really demand you to share your revenue .

Well they need ways to justify their jobs and advance their careers. Which is perfectly understandable, UX is almost always is secondary to that (as it should be from the perspective of individuals).

There is a big difference between what they are talking about (I believe) and asking it factual questions withal straightforward answers. Try discussing something a bit more complex and it’s very easy to get ChatGPT to start contradicting i

You have zero context in ChatGPT though. Like even if you don’t know or have an opinion about a specific website you’ll eventually form one if you keep accessing it. This is a huge downside of GPT. Until it starts citing it’s exact sources

I really doubt they have seriously considered porting macOS to RISC-v though. It shouldn’t take that long to port darwin to a new arch anyway. And when/IF RISC-V actually becomes even close to being competitive to ARM/x86 it will

Were they unrealistically low though? Wind/solar/hydro are supposed to be much cheaper than fossil fuels longterm.. And gas prices are more or less back to where they were before the invasion.
