It’s easy to take this observation in literal terms. Most of the comments point to the danger of “risking everything (financially)” and of course there’s a potential stupidity in that. Reframed as psychologically risking everything is perha

Usual challenge, if so great why sell it for $x p/mth as opposed to generating your own return, especially at these levels of compounding?

This is a great app! Well done, and you’re right barely any difference. That said, raising compliant kids is sooo boring :)

Won’t there now be 1000s of flying selfie sticks bumping into each other? Looks beautiful. Feels like dystopian comedy.

Wonderfully well written piece, summed up with: > And that when, late in life, he made a formal proposal of marriage, the woman he addressed burst out laughing, then had to summon two servants to help him get off his knees and back on hi

Broadly the core of western psychotherapy, the rediscovery of self; free of psychic oppression/external forces. Two wonderfully relevant quotes from Adam Philips, that the author may gain from: > “For the child's curiosity (&#x

The problem is, you probably won’t pay for it. Google’s revenue per user in the US underlines that point, taking a credit card out for an annual subscription for a $100 probably isn’t going to score a good conversion rate for anything beyon

It’s amazing to think that on a societal wide level we refuse to ascribe consciousness to that which clearly shares all the traits of being alive and self-aware. That, whatever it is, must be conscious and not just “on some level” as if hum

Yeah I’m finding the same with Pocket, the recommendations are limited. Issue is going to be collecting the sites initially, without curating them could end up being terrible. Unless let the whole thing be community driven. Not easy.
