Sounds significant, but how important is Apple/MacOS to Java?

It all depends on your market. You can't ignore IE if your customers are on locked down, corporate workstations with guerrilla IT departments dictating IE only. Know your market, then decide accordingly.

Why would I want Google to begin searching at 'he' if I'm looking for 'hello world'? Will the instant search list relevant results so early on, so as to save me from typing the whole term?

After a bit more of a comprehensive review, here are some more comments: 1- Tracking income vs. expenses is difficult. Maybe color code income in green and expense in red. This becomes especially difficult when clicking on the recurring tab

Very nice! Some points: 1- Can't enter one-time/recurring expense/income for past date. What happens if I'm late? 2- Currencies? Only USD? Not a big deal since I can just pretend your USD are my local currency, bus still... not elegant. 3-

Thank you. As a Ruby on Rails programmer I couldn't agree more. Rails 3.0 will bring some maturity... programming to interfaces and APIs rather than implementations. I believe Javaland "got that" a long time ago.

Looks like a talent acquisition, not a complementary product takeover. Kind of like Etherpad. Developers that know the tech which Google is looking to implement in their own line of products.

The author writes on his homepage he is no longer maintaining it and hasn't been following the GIMP API changes. He is also looking for someone to take over: http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/resynthesizer . (I forgot where I read about the "

Too bad this plugin isn't being maintained by the author. It only works with GIMP 2.4 from what I'm reading. This tool should be adopted as a first class GIMP tool.

I quote: "first mobile development environment hosted entirely in a browser, lowering the barrier for web developers to jump into mobile development." How do you like that, web devs? Now that's a smashing way to begin a relationship!

Excuse the superficial review, but it looks like JSON, not C. Why the name association with C, apart from the fact that you can include C libs? Vala or D look much closer to C.

    1) I had a comment censored after (politely) correcting the author on a technical fact in one of his posts. 2) Yes, the quality of this blog is definitely declining and taking on more of a gossipy tone. But no, I would not ban TechCrunch. S
