Oh no! Seriously though, having a basic income that is not basic was bound to give issues.

I don't think it's too bad orthogonality wise, though it is a bit weird to introduce infix notation. It would almost make more sense to write ((. sum numbers) (1 2 3))

Technically $ means something slightly different, it is more somilar to putting parentheses around the right half of the expression. For function composition it uses the same '.' .

This looks like a pretty weak correlation in a study that doesn't control for any other variables. Which is not nothing but concluding anything about causality is a stretch.

Having stable core revenue teams and disposable experimental teams seems like an excellent way to ensure the experienced developers will leave as soon as they can, and that any new knowledge leaves the company as soon as possible. So in the

I have no trust in a solution that mostly benefits the proposer. By all means let people curate and use safe lists of software, but let's not pretend that making the life harder for the few registries containing solely open source and

I appreciate the convenience of having the original text on hand, as opppsed to having to download it of Dropbox of all places. But if you're going to quote the whole thing it seems easier to just say so rather than quoting it bit by

If airflow is a layer of abstraction something is wrong. Yes it is an additional layer, but if your orchestration starts concerning itself with what it is doing then something is wrong. It is not a layer on top of other logic, it is a si

Last time I tried I could find a photo ID just with a basic image search. It is an unavoidable consequence of teaching people that scanning an ID is not utterly insane. Ironically there was no way to report the image anonymously to the serv

It all boils down to the fact that mean and variance give a good approximation of a probability distribution. In the same way that things typically converge to the average they converge even more strongly to a normal distribution. So estima

This looks very readable. The one example I didn't like is the expanded one where it expanded all but 1 of the elements. I feel like that should be an all or norhing thing, but there's bound to be edge cases.

It's a very crude method, with modern codecs I would be very surprised if you didn't get a better image just encoding the chroma at a lower bitrate.

You think that's bad? Imagine finding out that all video still encodes colour at half resolution simply because that is how analog tv worked.

This ratio allows for a relatively simple 2x2 repeating pattern. That makes interpolating the values immensely simpler. Also you don't want the red and blue to be too far apart, reconstructing the colour signal is difficult enough as i

You can just use this algorithm but ignore everything after the first k elements. The algorithm still works if you don't store anything beyond the first k elements but just pretend they are there.

Huh I didn't know the backwards version was more common, it seems odd. You could also call the last version the online version, as it will ensure the partial list is random at any point in time (and can be used for inputs with indeterm

Careful, that's dangerously close to concluding that money, businesses(, ownership) are just tools we made for our own benefit. Which is of course socialism.
