That's partially why I don't want to pay for YT Premium right now... The ads are getting really bad, always being placed at the worst moment of a video, and I don't want to reward YT for destroying my user experience. They ma

Exactly. I'm OK with ads on YouTube if they are placed in OK positions in the videos. For example, if they are placed in a natural break in the video. However, YouTube has decided to destroy their user experience by placing the ads to

I rented an Ionic PHEV a while back when I was in LA and was surprised how efficient it was! I drove the entire day, from West Hollywood to Santa Monica and then down to LAX and only used about 1 gallon of gas. It blew my mind at how effic

I would argue it's not even that hard to find anymore. It's just the user taking the time to do some research and trying things out.

I liked what San Jose did and turned single-use items to request only. It's amazing how little changes like that can be so impactful, where we switch from default include to default ask.

It looks like they have to include a logic level shifter to talk to the ESP32, so they could use something similar for the IO.

I think this depends on how the ICs are connected. If it's running something like I2C between them, then your data transfer rates will be too low and you'll be quite limited in some of the applications.

It's interesting to me that they have both an ESP32 and a RA4M1 processor. Is the WiFi connectivity really that intensive that they need to have both processors? I thought that was specifically why the ESP32 was a dual core design. Is

This was a huge frustration for me as I got into embedded programming. Once I got beyond the basics, it was incredibility hard to find information to take my engineering to the next level. For example, I was doing some work with ADCs and ha

There is definitely a market for craft soda, it’s just hard to get the same or even a small percentage of the distribution. The 2 cola companies have done a great job of pushing other competition out.

This makes a lot of sense to me, and I think the biggest thing is this changes the conversation at a company level about which boards to buy. Generally, companies have a lot more resources to put towards supporting more niche commercial boa

See Meta's recent VR commercials. They have a virtual mixer that they use in a "jam session" but it looks completely impractical to use.

Generally it's out of pocket maximum to a point, like $250k. Then it's normally split, something like 80-20, where you have to cover 20% of the bill. That seems like a lot until you have something like cancer, where you need surge

Pre-tipping is also getting out of hand. I was looking at doing a train dining experience in Colorado for my wife's birthday, and they automatically added in a 20% gratuity to your bill. At that point, it's not actually tipping, t
