Exciting is one word for it. The dot com crash was also "exciting", I suppose. I see it as a chance for the capital class to sell everyone shovels and build railroads that will further cement their power and influence, all the whi

People still have Facebook accounts? I genuinely don't know why anyone does at this point. If you are a woman, did you know Facebook has been stealing menstruation data from apps and using it to target ads to you? If you take photos wi

Tack on to that the fact that a certain crowd will absolutely lose their shit and harass any women in the role. Don't make it super attractive as a job.

They famously got inundated with tsunami water. It's pretty reasonable to assume they were below the line of tsunami high water marks.

And my beehives could be trained to make butter sculpture replicas of Michelangelo's David. But I don't see either realistically happening. This is a puff piece that's far, far too credulous.

Hasn't scientific fraud always been an industry and we rely on signal to noise ratios to be good enough to get by? Alternatively, in times of high wealth inequality are we putting a higher burden on our academics to survive, and forcin

But once you own a house, it's in your interest financially to stop others from building them. Either as a bloc or as a massive corporate landlord, pressuring cities to "retain the historic character of a neighborhood".

That's a different goal post. Seattle is doing things to encourage building housing. Full stop. Which refutes the claim made. Whether Seattle is building enough housing, or whether the region is doing enough to encourage housing develo

I understand their point. What's the minimum a business has to pay for a one hour shift? That's the point that all the parents above them are concerned with. So a semantic argument is needlessly pedantic.
