Not sure if this thing is real or not. If it's not, it's an impressive amount of effort to make it look real. If it is, it's an insane amount of effort to make something that fires a single peice of popcorn. Either way, props to them.

It's not 'just' the work of Photoshop tho. There is a link to ones closer to the original in this discussion thread, and those are still extremely impressive. All in all, I stand by my statement. These are accurate depictions of the color

These are so amazing. The world wasn't sepia toned a hundred years ago! As silly as that statement is, my brain is actually having a hard time really believing these photos are from 100 years ago. I'm in awe.

Thanks for the reply Christian. I'll be sure to let them know if that fact. I respect the nature of the decision, and i know it was certainly not an easy one. You've handled it very well, and the communication around that fact very well.

Pretty disappointed as I had my whole family switch to Wunderkit, and all of us get on board using it. However... after a few months most of us stopped - it just wasn't clicking like I hoped it would. I know some of my family members still

As a designer and developer, I notice it, and have noticed it on my iPhone over the past couple of years. Tho I'm not sure I notice it to the extent this article analyzes it. I far prefer the black status bar in apps, as it feels like it g

We've actually been charging money the day our Beta went live. Our users have been happy to pay, happy to have the product, and are amazing people. Patient, happy to help, thoughtful people. This probably isn't the norm - and the people c

The email notifications for System additions most certainly didn't exist when I wrote Dropbox about it. I did however, know about RSS but didn't choose to use that as a notification system (and wasn't aware it notified about machine additi

I don't know where else to bring this up, and had no idea how to discuss it when it happened. So i'll do it here, in this excellent thread of Security discussion. Dropbox doesn't send an email notification, or anything of the sort, when ad

Roku is the way to go, unless you want the Airplay features in your living room also - then get the AppleTV but you'll need to jailbreak it to install Plex. Worth it tho.

So what you're saying, is every blog post written on a products site, needs to re-introduce the product each time? That's a fair request actually, and could be achieved as simply as an opening sentence of 'If you're new here, you might wan

Really, then don't buy it and opt for a machine you can upgrade. I agree, having the freedom to upgrade is nice, if you feel you'll need to. And doing it on your own, and saving money is nice. From a warranty and support perspective - no

My 3 year old has a marker and paper in her hand almost every minute of the day. She is constantly doodling and drawing pictures. I get at least 4 pictures a day from her, all with a story to tell. When we're out and about, she loves havi

Superstitious but there's also a lot of identity from eating meats. Especially for men. Eating muscle meats like Steak is a big deal, and we as men are somehow less macho and manly if we don't eat these. It might sound ludicrous, but whe

My ancestors didn't have indoor plumbing. By your logic, you should do just fine without. It's far more of an point being made, than just being squeamish. But somehow I don't think me re-listing what's been said will make a difference.

Interesting to me that you both don't really seem to love Pocket - you're just happy it almost does what Instapaper does, for free. What's interesting about it, is the things people will decide to go without, due to something being free - w

My little brother bought me Psychonauts for the PS2 a few years back. It's an extremely well made game - I think possibly Double Fine's best work, and that's saying something!
