This transform to dynamic typing is not local and thus is more akin to embedding another language.

As wealth accumulates among the masters of technology, asking what jobs might provide value to your peers is the wrong question. What value can your friends provide to big corporations?

The existing patent system doesn't guarantee you'll be compensated. In fact, most patents are worthless. The award system could easily incorporate a patent scheme, based either or first to file or first to invent. The important difference b

That would also be the notion behind a system of awards for copyable works, so I'm not sure what your point is.

I don't really understand your objection. If, instead of trying to impose an artificial scarcity on copyable works (which includes inventions), we had a pool of "awards" that were distributed to creators proportionally to the value of the

Alternative title: UX guy sucks at programming language design. And if Perl is the answer, you're asking the wrong question.

I took your point to be that people only tend to perceive faults in others if they have those same faults. But since this projecting of faults is itself a fault that you've perceived in others, your maxim applies to you. My intent was not

I don't think you need explicit honey pots. Just give a select few special up/down votes that mean "this should never be flagged" and "this should never be upvoted". Then use this labeling of the data to compute a metric for vote quality.

I wasn't comparing the men. I was comparing the arguments. Which means that Godwin's law doesn't apply. And all of the folks down voting me are Nazis.

You've missed my point. Why do you not consider sqrt(3!)? It's not integral, but if you multiply by sqrt(6), the result IS integral. I don't think an optimal solution will have non-integral subexpressions, but you need an argument to just

Reasoning in the article has a flaw - no factorial is a perfect square, but how do you know all intermediate results need be integers? At the least, this deserves an additional argument. (Though it would be fair to say that factorial is o

And a graph is a relation, and a relation is a function, etc. Just because you can model everything with graphs doesn't make them special. You can model everything with lots of things.

The relevant issue isn't "fairness", it's "market value". There is a lower supply of people willing to work in regions with high cost of living (for the same wage).
