Main reason to use AMP links is access to content that is otherwise restricted. But I dislike AMP to the extent that I hope more browsers will implement this De-AMP feature. Brave is also fighting another fight with Google, this time with t

A modern car with cruise control, either adaptive or not, will make the task of keeping to the speed limit a breeze. The only improvement would be that the car always knew the speed limit for any stretch of road.

Where are those mainstream voices now, in the grand scheme of things claiming that it's not safe for kids to go to school is a claim not rooted in science or statistics. But probably those mainstream voices are not that interested in e

One thing that is left out is the efficacy of the Chinese vaccines Sinovac and Sinopharm. They are simple not good enough to stop COVID, to do that the Chinese regime would have to choose an American vaccine. Which they of course never will

Exactly this, the Chinese developed vaccine Sinovac is the primary cause of the poor COVID results. It simply doesn't do the job well enough, but good luck trying to make the Chinese leader choose an American product. So the stubbornne

That fate seems unlikely for Twitter, it's right now the go-to place for last-minute info on Putins invasion of Ukraine. After that who knows. Well, apparently Elon Musk knows.

They state that their findings will be presented at Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium in July. So it seems they want to keep some info for that event. Should i hazard a guess, it would be either Zoom or Teams.

It's likely a mixture of all these factors, the brain drain could absolutely be responsible. At least it would not be the first time in history that a company has lost the engineering spirit. And instead the business people have taken

Interestingly if you're on Windows, then Chocolatey is the better package manager to use. Microsoft's own package manager Winget only has v2.34.1 right now. Chocolatey https://community.chocolatey.org/packages/

The first vaccine available is not guaranteed to be the best one forever, breakthrough rates and effiacy rates are important. China cannot change their vaccine of choice (Sinovac) due to political constraints, which is why they are stuck wi

That would be my take as well, only an effective vaccine allows you to go on as normal. China must think they don't have that and given they have absolute control of the country, nobody will dare to say otherwise. Thankfully, in democr

That would be very good news if true. It also looks like Russia will have to spend Dollars from sale of gas and oil on debt payments. If that happens it will be even harder to manufacture more missiles.

Being good to employees is in my experience not that clearcut. Yes, companies spend money on social events to make the employees feel good about the company. But they won't spend any significant amount of money to keep valued employees

As is quite clear in this thread, there really is no unified way of doing things. Uppercase switches also strikes me as not very intuitive, either you need to look at the help page or you have to have the same mindset as the developer. And

China won't be the economic force it could be anytime soon. Their futule Zero COVID strategy is making sure of that. And it's not scaremongering to say that Russia wants to remove Ukraine from the map, that is literally Putins pla

Great to see China's leader making it hard for China to keep it's economic power. So there is at least 1 1/2 year where other world countries can benefit from the current state of affairs.
