I could not agree more with this. Do keep in mind that Italy has had 5000 deaths in a rather short timespan, while the 25,000 deaths in 16-17 was over a much longer timespan. I fear the economic repercussions will be grossly underestimated

Being one of those reasonable people who has not fallen for the complete lockdown argument, I feel that the ball is rolling and no argument can reduce the measures right now. In Denmark there are 42 people requiring ICU care and 13 deaths.

What i don't get is that these rational thoughts backed up by hard facts that says Italy lost 60.000 people(!) over a three year period to the common flu, are being overheard/ignored in place of a response that threaten to throw o

I totally agree, in case someone brings up Italy and their current number of deaths to Corona - this article describes deaths to the common flu from 2013 through 2017, https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/

Darkest indeed, if you are more than 70 years or have other illnesses then you take every precaution not to get infected. The rest of the population pray that the Corona quarantine will be scaled back as soon as possible, so we don't h

While i agree that we should be careful about this, i would say that the phrase "Some patients might have around a drop of 20 to 30% in lung function" is not a sure sign that we should be scared. More data and more time is needed

How about people that have recovered from the virus ? Assuming that immunity from the virus lasts longer than a few days/weeks.

Not sure i would use blow up to describe the situation. If you look at the Median age in Europe, the oldest population are found in Italy, Germany, Portugal and Greece, see https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-expla

Good point! I can add that the name Norwegian is associated with the Airline company here in the nordics. So using just Norwegian in the headline is unfortunate.

Don’t know what relevance the JavaScript ecosystem has. I would pick a language with a GC any day and then deal with issues later on, than to struggle every bit of the way without a GC IMO.

From a developer viewpoint i can name three things that have stopped Delphi from competing with languages such as C# and JAVA. 1. No Garbage Collector. While some understanding of object lifetime is required, the constant need to manage all

Try with every community, Reddit must really dislike mobile users. I do wonder if this scheme was introduced to monetize users, either way it sucks.

In fairness I have only tried Jenkins, CruiseControl and Azure DevOps. What sets TeamCity apart is the use of Kotlin. You do have to invest a fair amount of time to get the most of it, but when you do the return is great. Putting together

Some TeamCity details are a bit odd, for example you are not allowed to run a development server and a production server with one license. Instead you should get an evaluation license, that is only valid two months at a time. Conditional bu

It's a well-made workaround until Teams gets a first rate UI. I still prefer an App instead of the browser, but that's just personal preference.
