What’s the value in raw vs cooked vegetables? I thought cooking makes their nutrients more bio-available. Do you really eat tubers raw? I can't imagine eating a potato raw. Our ancestors even always cooked them.

Sierra was both a publisher and a developer led by husband and wife team Ken and Roberta Williams. The first Leisure Suit Larry came out in 1987. Sierra didn’t acquire Dynamix until 1990, and they had nothing to do with Larry. Dynamix was k

Auto-immune diseases and their link to gut bacteria is not new. The relationship between MS and gut bacteria alone goes back to at least 2006 [1]. To learn more about auto-immune diseases and gut bacteria, I highly recommend the book An Epi

Apple has a patent on a camera integrated into the display. So it’ll happen at some point. There’s probably a team working on it in R&D as we speak. How did you find TouchID to be better than FaceID? Did you get a pre-release version of

And only last year we discovered soil has a micro-biome too [1], and it has a profound impact on plant growth. The most fascinating aspect of soil to me is that it's a natural carbon store, which for obvious reasons will become increas

Yes this is exactly what I was getting at. Thanks for putting it more eloquently than I did. I’m just used to getting downvoted anytime I talk about monoculture farming, soil, and climate change so I don’t put effort into it anymore. I thin

The Leisure Suit Larry company was Sierra. Loved playing those games! Hero’s Quest, later renamed to Quest for Glory was probably my favorite. The physics in those games were amazing for the time, so I’m not surprised.

We are destroying topsoil at an alarming rate due to industrial farming that we may have no choice but to go this route.

I agree with your overall sentiment. But just because there aren't animals on your plate, doesn't mean they weren't killed in bringing food to your plate. For example, published studies show that at least 25 times more sentie

Heh yeah this is typical Chris. Excited that he might code again. Him and ErrTheBlog were such a huge asset to the early Rails community. Also if it weren't for Chris and his vision, we'd still be using Subversion. I remember him

Your condition isn't special. Everyone who stutters doesn't when they are alone. Neurologically, it's a defect in processing external feedback to what we are saying. If no one is listening, there is no feedback.

Do you have data comparing profits from CAFOs vs grass-fed operations? Wouldn't grass fed sellers earn more as it's a premium product? How did the North American plains support millions of bison just on grass at one point?
