Except what you said is not at all true. Dell, hp, and Lenovo have a whole bunch of different models for different laptops. They're also very customizable, so the model may be slightly different if you want different hardware. But you&

Right, but OP was listing chat apps to say how many Google killed. Allo was the analogous chat app that was released in tandem with duo. Duo is not a chat app.

Duo isn't a chat app; it's a video app.

What does the dedicated case have to do with starlink? It will be completely oversubscribed once they are out of beta, or they simply don't make money. So the original comment stands in that latency will vary.

That's correct (as I mentioned below). Paying was not a requirement for google music to do that.

Yes, I uploaded the album. Yt music plays a video on any song it has a vevo video for.

Which reality is that? Apple photos is consistently worse at finding them. I've never heard anyone say their image recognition is anywhere near as good, and that's my experience as well.

... And apple can't find cats correctly at all. Which would you want? Google can put a name to your cat and index by typing the name, and in that case it only finds you specific cat.

Thanks for reminding me about another. The desktop version forces you to play videos for songs you've uploaded unless you have a subscription. Waste of bandwidth.

This isn't my experience. Songs I uploaded are not playable without a subscription when the screen is off.

Only with a paid subscription. Google music let you do it without.

It was painless, but the UI for YouTube is awful. Album lists are slower to load, the integration with Google home is worse, and the app doesn't let you play music with your screen off.

No. If you have enough inter satellite links, it is almost always better to use those unless there is congestion. It's simple math. You misread my other response. The reason I believe SpaceX will not offer 1G plans, except at a ridicul

The number of satellites has nothing to do with my hard the inter satellite links are. higher bandwidth links are much more expensive and harder to get right (harder meaning never been done at those rates). It's fine that you are in th

The existing satellite providers could provide a 1Gbps plan, but it's not economically feasible. Any of the multiple Gbps communications satellites could do that. SpaceX can also do it, but it's not economically feasible based on

97% success is very bad when the number of satellite is so high that it causes space junk, yes. See here: https://twitter.com/ProfHughLewis/status/1312021242900295688

Sure, the benefits are very clear. But high-frequency inter-satellite links are very difficult. Facebook formed a group to test this early on, and eventually cancelled the project (and are now trying again). It's not just laser comms,

Yup, and Starlink was also going to provide a 1Gbps service with a very low failure rate (now we know both of those aren't true). That article cites no sources, and SpaceX has not publicly said they've successfully tested cross-li

It also makes the big assumption of "when laser links are implemented". There is no timeframe for that, and it's possible that it's never implemented.

I'm pretty sure CR doesn't let you do that. They don't even allow you to advertise with their name saying they recommended it.
