Looking at the responses I see a lot of possibilities. But one thing I remember reading elsewhere is something they wouldn’t admit - they have no good places to put that money, and inflation is low so hoarding it is not a bad option right n

It's not the norm, but I was once offered a job where if I declined health insurance they'd pay me the difference - it was a 4 person company.

If it's a function of a percentile of the population, then sure, there would be fewer geniuses and such. But a shrinking population seems to coincide with a better educated population. An educated, stable, slightly shrinking population

From my understanding that is likely going to be local to the eastern US seaboard. The gulf stream goes northeast towards Europe, and "pulls" water away from the east coast, effectively making the sea level on the east coast about

Then again they can offset these costs by having a much larger customer base (i.e. people without cash on them) from which to help them realize greater volume discounts.

Can you buy a property without being a resident though? From a quick search, I found a site stating that you must live in the house and cannot buy one for other reasons. This contrasts wildly with anecdotes I read about with Chinese invest

I like the other replies, but I'd like to add something that I haven't seen discussed much. The median income in New York and California is probably much higher compared to any random flyover red state. Your average household in N

I believe ACA mainly benefits people who work but don't make enough to pay for healthcare insurance. Medicaid would be for those who don't work at all (or make way too little). I think looking at it as a zero sum thing is framing
