Linux is also a PIA for non-server application. I’ve spent several days getting my screen to stay on for a Linux driven display.

This is probably development for a tool to light up LED to match up with input video. So cost is a big concern and Rk3588 is already one of the beefier/expensiver options

Make it work for esp32-* and you’ll have a lot of people using it.

Gotcha and that lets us avoid to expose internals? that seems like a win win win, I should totally do this!

> You'll still keep your services private to your internal network, Is that a new thing? I heard previously that if you wanted to do DNS/domain for local network you had to expose the list external.

2 GB/s is pretty crappy, that’s about the burst speed of many nvme SSDs. Virtual disk should me more then 6 gb/s at least with ddr5.

> ESP32 doesn't automatically reconnect to the stronger AP How would it know to reconnect to stronger AP? You can order it to do a background scan and reconnect to stronger AP if you want, but you have to figure out how often to do

Then change your code. Every AP has a bssid (MAC address) that you can use to connect to specific AP. It’s up to the code to figure out which one to connect to. The libraries have all the options. When you do a scan you get bssid of the AP

It’s up to you as the programmer! The library literally gives you the power to roam/connect to whatever you want whenever you want.

>Why are the embedded GPU:s always so stunted? Because gpu want a lot of silicon. 5080 is 300 mm^2. Meanwhile ryzen 9xxx is 50 mm^2. Meanwhile CPU wants to use that wafer space for themselves. And even if you use 100% of the wafer space

Fpga are great at some things but they are pretty difficult with others. There are many applications where you can use the CPU as the control block while keeping fpga for other reasons. Furthermore keeping the cpu inside the fpga means you

I can easily explain it. One of the answers is cost. The chips in those radios lack usb. The USB-serial adapters are not cheap - 30c even for clones. So there’s 30c that can be cut from BOM. That’s huge when the radio sells for $20. You al
