I work for two clients (one of them is a huge German company) as a consultant who are both using GitLab simply because they can host it on their infrastructure. Makes it easier for them to satisfy internal security policies I guess.

Note that this can quite problematic in scenarios where the caller wants to inspect the error (example: was the error an http timeout? or a server error?). Returning the error and letting the topmost call site handle that is usually better.

Yep. I rarely see Firefox lagging/unresponsive (~15 pinned + 3-4 normal tabs open). In the rare chances that it does, I get an option "This web page is slowing down Firefox" which lets me kill the tab and all is well again.

Yep exactly! I personally don't find Apple products useful but man I love iTunes just because I can buy DRM-free music. I wish buying movies was this easy.
