You're right, it used to be a bit complicated. Now you just need to have a reputable and clean IP address, and knowledge of running some services in docker and of course understanding DNS and its crucial role for running a mail server.

I don't use an ad blocker, I just don't look at the ads. Cookie alerts are a pain though. For privacy I just run in Incognito mode in Chrome or private mode in Safari.

This is a myth though (with some truth to it in certain cases). I've run my own mail infrastructure since 1999, no issues.

Seeing that LinkedIn these days is 90% AI-slop, wouldn't this mean that the AI is being trained by AI?

That's a bigger discussion, I guess. But all of them seem to just be gradual improvements and more eye candy, if anything. Fewer crashes, yet incompatibilities because of the ecosystem. You'll never see things like secure terminal

If you're into LLM's you need to consider using Apple Silicon so you can continue developing on your own machine with MLX. MLX isn't just a replacemnet for CUDA, no way - it's made for the Apple arch. The new M5 chip wi

I fully get that macOS is not perfect, but checking out "modern" Linux (like a customized Arch) is a bit underwhelming. It still looks to me like Linux 20 years ago. And I started with Linux in the mid 90s. Not much has changed or
