I'm more or less fanatically liberal. But I happily set that aside while visiting HN. Please don't bring in such broad attacks. I almost voted it down as well (despite agreeing with the sentiment), for the exact reasons pointed out by radu_

But, isn't that the same both ways? I have personally been on the "out-of-luck" side most of my life, even for routine care. Would be wonderful to get at least the basics in place.

It seems like there's a simple design spec for a very nice keyboard: - Buckling springs, for that clicky feeling - Split, or somehow ergonomically enhanced - Columns instead of staggered keys Anything else? Any disagreements

Well, that's simply stupid. But Arrington specifically holds up examples of "Ezra Callahan on being a Jewish employee and supporting Facebook’s policy to not remove groups that deny the Holocaust." Which is not. He implies (well, even pla

I suppose, since I haven't studied law as much as I should have, that there is an already established set of guidelines. If I were coming up with an admittedly vague rule-of-thumb off the top of my head, I think the line would be speech adv

I completely agree with your sentiment, but I think the issue is different - what class of speech is protected? Speech, once protected, cannot be censored nor punished after the fact. Unprotected speech can be both censored and punished.

I disagree on a number of points. I understand that it's a difficult subject, but to just point out one example: "The third important point is that not all speech is equal. Some speech has direct, negative consequences. Few would argue tha

Wouldn't this affect business travel, such as deliveries to restaurants, offices, grocery stores, etc.? I think the primary thing to cut down on is luxury travel, where walking/cycling/public transit it a reasonable alternative - and to do

I think the webapp/startup line blurred together in the funding frenzy of the past few years where revenue-less webapps could be acquired profitably for the founder. But the line is growing more distinct starting as revenue regains its impo

I think you may have missed the service plans page: http://www.afterthedeadline.com/commercial.slp The top plan is for an estimated 500 writers, with 50,000 requests/month, and costs $200.00. That's significantly lower than $1500/month. B
